When you slow down enough to look at your world -Do you like what you see?
How about what you see in the mirror? Are you attractive or ugly?
Do you look through your own eyes - or through other people's eyes? This might seem like a silly question- but children & adults judge themselves based on what other people say, think or what magazines depict what they "should' look like.
I get this! I have extensive personal experience with this. Over the past few years, I have been called:
fat
old
beautiful
ugly
young looking
attractive
'hot'
out of shape
short
alluring
gross
white
over weight
sexy....
that's quite the variety of descriptions and opinions - don't you agree. So who's right?
I continue 'working' on my judgments of my body, looks, and 'Image'.
A common inner complaint of mine is "I am too fat". I "work" it by asking myself:
Compared to What?
Compared to Who?
&
Where's My Proof?
It works the other way too. Try it for yourself...
What do YOUR judgments of yourself sound like?
"I am too skinny"
"I am too old"
"I am too short"
"I am physically attractive and that's why men want me
"They (men) use me for my body"
"I am too fat "
"nobody wants me"
Are you sure? Compared to what? Compared to who? Where's your proof?
